The IDS Center is the tallest building in downtown Minneapolis.

 There are two 110-foot broadcast poles on the roof to allow adequate space for antennas. The site accommodates a variety of two-way, microwave, television and FM broadcast communications equipment.

Common areas for telecommunications systems have been allocated on 51A and 51B.

Standby electrical power facilities for transmitter plants can be appropriately located within the structure.
